3. What kind of batteries can I use with the DSC-350, and how long will the batteries last?

We suggest using alkaline batteries (AAA 1.5V). More than 1000 pictures can be taken under normal operation.

4. Can you use the DSC-350 with an Apple Macintosh or IMac computer? (Back to General Questions)

The DSC-350 does not have drivers to support Apple Macintosh or IMac computers, although we do plan on supporting Apple Macintosh and IMac in the future.

5. What is the image processing time?

The camera takes about 1 second to take a picture.

6. When is the camera ready for me to take a picture?

The LED light on the rear side next to the viewfinder will stay green when the DSC-350 is ready to take a picture. During image processing time, the LED light will blink.

7. What is the meaning of the LED light on the front of the DSC-350? (Back to General Questions)

The LED light on the front of the DSC-350 means that you are taking a picture in self-timer mode while using the digital camera mode. In WebCam mode, that light means that the Auto Exposure is ready.

8. Can I replace the cradle with a tripod?

Yes, the cradle hole is a standard design and can be used with other camera tripods.

9. How do I position the subject in the view finder (Digital Camera Mode)?

Center your subject in the viewfinder using the following instructions: (A) Use the viewfinders inside lens when the subject is closer than 50 cm away. (B) Use the entire viewfinder area when the subject is further than 1.5 m away.

10. What’s the meaning of the frame rate mark ()? (Back to General Questions)

Full frame rate mark means that the environment light source is very abundant. When the light source is less, the frame rate mark will decrease. When there is no frame rate mark, the camera does not have enough light to take a picture.

11. How many pictures can be stored on the DSC-350’s 8MB built in memory?

Under 640x480 resolution, more than 250 images can be stored. Under 1024x768, more than 100 images can be stored. Under 320x240 more than 500 images can be stored.

12. After I take 199 pictures, the LCD starts over at 100, is this normal and does it delete my other images? (Back to General Questions)

The images are not deleted. The LCD can only go to 199, so when you take more than 199, it is normal for it to start over at 100. When you download your pictures to your computer, it will retrieve all of your pictures. This is being fixed and will not be an issue in future versions.
