D-LINK INVESTS IN SMB CHANNEL WITH SMBiT PROFESSIONALS

Continued commitment to SMB Partners

SYDNEY, 14 December 2016: As part of its ongoing commitment to invest in and support the SMB channel, D-Link Australia has become a partner of the SMBiT Professionals group, Australia’s leading industry association for IT business owners and professionals specialising in IT solutions for small and medium business.

D-Link ANZ MD Graeme Reardon explained, “SMBiT Professionals has grown rapidly and now represents hundreds of members across Australia. With that in mind it makes perfect sense for D-Link to become a partner of the organisation as we continue to invest significant resources into the SMB channel. This partnership will allow us to build on the established relationships with SMBiT Professional members that we already have in place, whilst expanding our reach across the wider membership base.”

With one of the widest ranges of networking solutions for SMBs across the market, D-Link ANZ continues to launch new and exciting innovations within its surveillance, wireless, switching and storage solution sets as part of its dedicated SMB portfolio. As part of its SMB channel focus, D-Link is promoting its margin and profitability for resellers in an increasingly competitive, low margin space, that relies more and more on rebates and achieving set targets than many resellers would prefer.

As Graeme Reardon concluded, “D-Link offers above-average margins and profitability for resellers from a wide portfolio of networking solutions, allowing them to embed a variety of fit-for-purpose networking products to meet their customers’ needs. We have found that whilst other companies may specialise in certain areas, D-Link’s breadth of SMB products can help deliver a single-vendor solution to SMBs in a way that can truly benefit their business should the need arise. They also benefit from the associated simplicity in dealing with one vendor to support these solutions and dedicated local engineers that go on-site to support our reseller community.”

D-Link plans to work with the members of SMBiT Professionals to draw upon and add to the collective knowledge bank of best-practice solutions and expert opinions garnered from its national network of IT business owners. This will in turn help formulate its product planning, commercial business models and go-to-market strategies to drive sales of its dedicated SMB-focused portfolio of solutions into 2017.
