D-Link ANZ launches 4G LTE router for ultimate Mobile broadband connectivity
Ideal for environments where Internet connectivity is needed quickly and easily
SYDNEY, 28 July 2016: D-Link ANZ has risen to the challenge of providing quality Internet connectivity in locations where Fixed-Line Broadband services such as ADSL or Cable are not available with its DWR-921 4G LTE router. The router is ideal in areas where Fixed-line broadband is either not available or is slow, or where an easy to setup, portable Mobile hot-spot solution is required. Such areas could include outdoor events, construction sites and Tradeshows, and can offer users potential speeds of up to 150Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload.
D-Link ANZ MD Graeme Reardon said, “The DWR-921 is an ideal solution if broadband availability is an issue but 3G/4G Mobile connectivity is available. In this day and age, many people work from various locations, and it’s often not feasible to have a Fixed-Line Broadband service such as ADSL or Cable available in these areas. With the DWR-921 it’s as easy as sliding in a standard-sized SIM, and connecting to the Internet. You can then easily share this fast 3G/4G Internet connection with others at the work-site or at home, often with faster speeds than a Fixed-Line service.
The DWR-921 could also be used as a backup for homes or businesses in the case that their primary Internet connection goes down, to ensure they can remain productive.”
The DWR-921 enables users to access and share their 4G LTE or 3G mobile broadband connections. Once connected, they can transfer data, stream media and send SMS messages. Users simply insert a SIM/USIM card and share the 4G LTE or 3G Internet connection through a secure wireless network or any of the four Ethernet ports.
The DWR-921 utilises dual-active firewalls (SPI and NAT) to prevent potential unwanted intrusions, while WPA/WPA2 wireless encryption keeps wireless networks secure and traffic safe. If you are out of 4G LTE range, the router will automatically fall back to an available 3G connection. You can also configure the product to accept a Fixed-Line service via it’s Ethernet WAN port, and when a break in service is detected, the DWR-921 will automatically fail over to the Mobile network to provide continuous Internet access.
